Description
There are old, herb-rich spruce forests, but also smaller areas of rich marshes, swamp forests and small springs. In the west and east, the forest is older, with trees that have up to 165 annual rings. There are plenty of old deciduous trees and mature pines among the spruces. In the darkness beneath the trees, the magnificent guckuskon grows, as well as other upright plants such as the Nordic wolfsbane and magic grape. Orchids such as wood anemone, spiderwort, knotweed and soapwort are also among the forest flowers.
