Description
Det finns en överdådig prakt av vackra blommande växter. De samsas med granskogen som också trivs mycket bra. Trots det höga läget växer granskogen bra här i naturreservatet. Det beror att det är mycket kalk i berggrunden. Också det orörda rinnande grundvatten gör att granen trivs. Härifrån är det ju inte långt till Norge och atlanten. De fuktiga vindarna från kusten sveper in hit. Det gör att klimatet här påminner om det som finns vid havet, det kallas oceaniskt klimat. En växt som trivs just i det oceaniska klimatet är den gula myrliljan. Den har tagit sig hit från norska atlantkusten.

Följ E14 västerut från Åre i 13 kilometer. Sväng sedan höger ut på väg 322 och fortsätt i 12,5 kilometer. Härifrån går en väg mot Häggsjön som har en vägbom. Från bommen är det 5 kilometer innan du är framme vid naturreservatet.
Regulations
Welcome to Stämpelhön. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of any kind, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
Exemptions from the regulations
The above regulations shall not prevent:
- the manager of the nature reserve, or the person commissioned by the manager, to take the measures necessary to fulfill the purpose of the nature reserve and which are stated in the regulations above,
- to conduct reindeer husbandry in accordance with the Reindeer Husbandry Act (1971:437) or to drive a motorized vehicle during reindeer husbandry in accordance with exceptions in the off-road driving ordinance (1978:594),
- to drive a motorized vehicle in rescue services and in case of illness,
- government officials to drive motorized vehicles on official business,
- transporting a felled bear, moose, deer or wild boar by motorized vehicle on solid ground,
- transporting felled bears, moose, deer or wild boar with light (<400 kg) tracked vehicles on wet land, or with off-road scooters on well-frozen and snow-covered ground,
- normal maintenance of roads adjacent to the nature reserve. What is considered normal maintenance is shown in Appendix 3.
