Sommartid kan man åka till Nyvallen från väg 84 i Hedeviken. Året runt kan man via Hede och Råndalen åka till Nysätern, eller åka till Dalsvallen i söder. Rastplatsen vid Valmen nås via en grusväg från Hedeviken.

Welcome to Sonfjället National Park. Keep in mind that it is not allowed in the area:

• remove minerals or other geological material
• break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees, brushwood and shrubs. However, it is permitted to take loose dry branches and twigs from the ground for burning.
• picking or digging up plants. However, berry and mushroom picking is allowed.
• planting plant or animal species
• collecting or trapping insects, fish or other animals or otherwise disturbing wildlife
• hunt or fish. However, you may fish in Styggtjärn and Valmen with a valid fishing license and according to the restrictions set by the Hedviken fisheries management area.
• use motorized vehicles outside designated roads and parking areas
• set up a caravan or motorhome
• land with an aircraft
• fly closer to the ground than 1500 meters
• ride a horse
• bring an unleashed dog
• put up a board, poster or similar
• organize orientation checks or marked trails
• without the permission of the county administrative board, it is forbidden within the national park to - carry out scientific studies or conduct environmental monitoring that involves marking, collection, trapping or other impact on the natural environment - conduct organized tours or other organized activities more than three times a year, with more than 35 participants outside designated trails, facilities and places, or which involve staying more than one night in a row at the same place - conduct sports competitions or sports events.
