Description
Även om den allra största delen av naturreservatet består av gammal och nästan orörd fjällbjörk- och granskog så är det vegetationen under Oldklumpens sydvästbrant som tilldrar sig uppmärksamheten. Lågvuxna almar som sticker upp ur stenramlet är det första man ser och sedan när man fått titta sig omkring hittar man liten fetknopp, kransrams och liljekonvalj.
Anledningen till dessa för området ovanliga arterna är att den soluppvärmda bergssidan ger ett varmare lokalklimat samt att det just här finns stråk av basiska bergarter som ger mycket näring till jorden.

From Olden you drive further north past France and in Åkroken you turn right, after about a kilometer right again. Where the road forks next time, it is advisable to park. To get to "Trädgården", it is easiest to walk along the forest road to the right (it is of a little too poor quality to drive). After about 800 meters, the forest road turns into a path with signs to Trädgården.

Welcome to Oldklumpen. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of any kind, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make fires, other than firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
