Description
Wooden church, beautifully situated on a southern slope at Ljusnedals bruk. Built in 1797 for the mill and replaced an older church from 1757.
In 1902 the church was renovated and new altarpieces were acquired. The paintings, which form a suite, depict Jeus' life and teaching, his death and resurrection.
The interior is characterized by the renovation of 1902, when the walls and vault were beadboarded and most of the interior decoration was added. The color scheme with yellow walls, white ceiling and interior decoration in beige and white with accents in English red also dates from this time.
Next to the church there is a tin box with pilgrim passports and pilgrim stamps for those walking the St Olav Rombo Way pilgrimage trail.
