At Strandakar, we do everything to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience. Our hotel rooms are designed to serve as an escape from the stresses of daily life and to give you a holistic experience in rural luxury.

Strandakar is nestled in greenery with pine trees surrounding the entire building. In our large park you can stroll and sit on a bench overlooking the Herta fishing village or look at a couple of Bronze/Iron Age graves. Especially in spring, there are many orchids and beautiful birds here. For the active, there is a boules court, crazy golf and cube games in the garden and bicycles for hire. Herta bathing beach is one kilometer away for those who are looking for a swim.

Strandakar has twelve large, luxurious rooms, each with a private patio. The rooms are modernly furnished with generous bathrooms.

Because we seek peace and harmony, there are no televisions in the rooms, but the entire facility has free wireless internet for those who want to be connected.

We have two restaurants in the hotel. Enjoy the food in Bistro S with its beautiful courtyard or a five-course tasting menu in Restaurant Strandakar. Our fantastic head chef Andreas Hedman and his team make sure that your visit to Restaurant Strandakar is a memorable experience. Everything is prepared with care and quality and we use local producers as much as possible. For example, we work with Bosarve Bakery in När, Heffride Farm in Burs, Dalbo Farm in När and Lammboden in Stånga. We grow honey and herbs ourselves, so they are locally grown in a double sense. Our latest project is our own kitchen garden where we will grow vegetables, berries and other goodies.

We offer our hotel guests dinner every day.

Our delicious breakfast buffet is served at 8:30 - 10:00 every day. Guests who are not staying at the hotel but who wish to have breakfast with us must make a reservation no later than 15:00 the day before.
