Pilgrimsled Roma - Dalhem

For those who want to combine a moderately long hike with culture and perhaps a lunch or coffee break, the pilgrim trail between Roma Kungsgård and the Gotland train in Dalhem is an excellent choice. You are also not dependent on a car because it is possible to take the bus.

The hike starts at Roma Kungsgård, where you can take bus 11 from Visby. During the summer, Roma Kungsgård has a café, exhibitions and various craft shops. Here you will also find Roma Klosterruin, a monastery from the 12th century. Why not stop here for a while for a good lunch and a little shopping?

The pilgrim trail starts about 750 meters from the monastery ruins, where the Gotland train also has its station “Roma Kungsgård”, here you should turn left. The trail mostly runs along the railway track, but also has a few detours through the forest. If you are lucky, you will pass the steam locomotive-hauled train or a couple of trolley cars.

Along the trail there are eleven beads (the so-called Saviour's Wreath) set out, where there is opportunity for reflection and meditation. There is also signage in the form of white posts.
