Ireåslingan

A circular trail through the Ireån nature reserve and parts of the Hall-Hangvar nature reserve. A hiking loop that offers several environments typical of Gotland. If you walk the loop clockwise, the walk takes you along the winding waters of the Ireån river where you can spot sea trout, crayfish and river lamprey. You will also walk along the sea coast and sand dunes with views of the cliff edge to both the north and south. You will then climb steeply up the cliff, partly with the help of a steadily built staircase. From the cliff you get even better views of Gotland's west coast and cliff landscape.

Along the hiking trail there are footbridges, bridges and wooden handrails at some passages. Both in the forest and on the cliff, there are sometimes roots and stones, and some uphill and downhill slopes that require attention to foot placement. The trail is thus a little more demanding at times, but should not be a problem for those who have walked in forests and fields before.
