Description
Elinghem ödekyrka is a medieval parish church that became a ruin after it was abandoned in the 17th century.
Of the medieval church, the chancel and nave remain. If you enter the ruin, you can see the medieval altar table and baptismal font still in place. The tradition of holding services also remains.
It is not known for sure why the church was abandoned, but it may have had something to do with a fire in the 17th century.
