Ljusnanleden och Flottarstigen

The Ljusnan Trail runs along the northern bank of Ljusnan and up along the ridge of Vallåsen. Along the trail there are plenty of shelters and rest areas. The trail is quite strenuous in parts and the terrain is difficult where you also have to wade across some streams. Entrance points with parking are at Enå estuary and Kasteln. Length about 43 km.

Flottarstigen runs from Färila to Laforsen along the southern shore of Ljusnan, coincides with Helgonleden and runs mostly through Mellanljusnan nature reserve. At Hoppströmmen near Lassekrog, the trail runs on a nice wooden path that is also suitable for wheelchairs. In the nature reserve there are entrance points with parking and information at Knutnäsudden, Hovra hällarna, Kölströmmen and Hoppströmmen. There are also shelters, picnic areas, fireplaces and dry toilets in several places. Length approx. 28 km.
