STF Grövelsjön Mountain station

Grövelsjön Mountain Station is the perfect base for anyone looking to go hiking or Alpine Ski Touring in a true mountain environment. There is something for everyone here – beginners, experienced mountain visitors, groups of friends, and families with children.

The Mountain Station is beautifully located at the foot of Långfjället, with views of the Norwegian mountains. Several nature reserves and national parks with unique landscapes can be found on both the Swedish and Norwegian sides of the border.

STF Grövelsjön Mountain Station is certified with Green Key, and the restaurant is KRAV-certified. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and hold a full licence for alcoholic beverages. After a day outdoors, you can relax in the café and enjoy a freshly made waffle.

We offer a range of accommodation options at different price levels and comfort standards. Choose between rooms with private shower and WC or rooms with shared facilities in the corridor. You can book either a Full meal plan or half board, or prepare your own meals in one of our two guest kitchens. The main building also features a sauna, several lounges, a table tennis room, and a playroom.

Travelling with your dog? We have a number of pet-friendly rooms, as well as a lounge where your four-legged companion is welcome. Dogs are not permitted in other parts of the Mountain Station.

At Grövelsjön Mountain Station you will find a sports and grocery shop. Here you can top up your equipment and supplies for your mountain adventure, purchase essential mountain maps, clothing, first aid supplies, and much more. Our rental service offers most of the equipment you may need for your trip, both summer and winter. We recommend booking ski equipment in advance.

Guests staying at the Mountain Station enjoy free parking. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available on site. Charging is managed through the Pair Recharge app.
