Description
The forests here are over a hundred years old, sometimes up to 140 years. Wet coniferous forests and wetlands spread out in the hollows. The very mossy and damp mixed coniferous forests are broken off by drier upland areas with old gnarled pines. In the northern part, there is a small area with several old pines over 200 years old and a few up to 300 years old. Here you may be able to spot the old-growth forest's celebrities, such as the three-toed woodpecker, wolverine, grouse and capercaillie. In the northern part is the small lake Reptjärn, which is a nesting lake for many birds, such as the beautiful little grebe.
