Fäbodledsområde 2 Djurmo klack

Gagnef municipality has a unique trail system of 480 km that once linked the many pastures and villages. The trails cover the entire municipality and centuries-old cultural trails that pass charcoal kilns, huts and magnificent nature experiences.

Friluftsfrämjandet works hard to keep the trails going and has a great deal of knowledge about them. Today, the trails offer an enormous opportunity for outdoor recreation. The huge trail system is divided into 13 different areas for care and maintenance. We call them Fäbodledsområde 1 to 13.

The trails pass almost all the mountain huts in Gagnef municipality, which is just over 40. Along the trails you will also pass rest huts, huts and charcoal huts. If you have a sleeping bag with you, there is simple overnight accommodation. In 13 facilities you can sleep more than one person and in 12 charcoal huts there is a bed.

All rest cabins are unlocked except Prästbuo in Björbo, where you can borrow a key from Källbäckens by.

This trail

The hiking trails around Djurmo Klack extend southwest from Djurås north to Sörängsdammen and Solsbodarna and southeast to Sifferbo. The area includes Djurmo Klack 358 meters above sea level, the Djurmo klack nature reserve and the Änjansdalen nature conservation area.

**Tour proposal 1

Hiking trail around Djurmo Klack and Oxberget. Length 7 km.

Parking: At the end of the forest road at Djurmo klack. Alternatively at the village of Bäckan north of the railroad at Djurmo. Extends the hike by about 2 km back and forth to Bäckan.

The tour goes through the nature reserve Djurmo klack and extends north about 3.5 km and then turns south to the starting point 3.5 km. The hike starts at about 300 meters altitude and at the lowest point where you turn south at Slomtjärnen about 240 meters above sea level.

**Tour suggestion 2

Hiking trail Djurmo klack, Solsbodarna and Änjansdalen. Length about 12 km

Parking: At the end of the forest road at Djurmo klack or the parking lot at Änjansdalen.

The tour starts by walking through the nature reserve at Djurmo klack and continues to Solsbodarna. From Solsbodarna, follow the trail south towards Änjansdalen and then follow the forest road back up towards Djurmo klack.

The lowest point of the tour is at Änjansdalen about 170 meters above sea level and the highest point about 350 meters above sea level if you choose to go to the view at Djurmo klack.

Tour proposal 3.

Hiking trail Djurås, Sörängsdammen, Solsbodarna and Djurmo klack. Length about 17 km.

Parking: At Lindberghallen in Djurås.

The tour goes north under the railroad towards Sörängsdammen. There is a nice shed where you can take a break. Then continue east towards Solsbodarna. If you do not want to visit the herd, take the hiking trail south towards Djurmo klack At Djurmo klack there is one of Dalarna's finest viewpoints. There is also a hut with barbecue facilities. The hike continues down Djurmo klack past the village of Bäckan back to Djurås.
