Digerberget Nybodalen

In Tällberg there are two small nature reserves and this tour takes you through both. From the top of Digerberget there are beautiful views - out towards Siljan and Vaverön. At the top there is a hut to sit down in for a break. The trail continues through the old-growth forest in the reserve and towards Nybodalen nature reserve. Here you walk through land that used to be fields, meadows and pastures but which has largely grown back and become a lush deciduous forest. When the trees are old and die, they become much more valuable for insects, fungi, lichens and mosses and many different bird species. If you come here on a spring morning, it can be a great color and sound experience with bluebells on the ground and lots of birds singing in the deciduous forest.
