Description

Many people come here for a barbecue, to walk the dog, see the animals or admire the beautiful historical buildings.

Petting zoo and playground

The petting zoo has hens, chickens, pigs, goats, ducks and rabbits. See and stroke the animals, help to feed them and learn more about some of our favourite Swedish pets. There is a children’s playground with a big swing, a see-saw and a house to climb into. There is also a play house and a balancing course.

Historic buildings

The historic cottages and crofts in the park are listed buildings. They can be visited every day between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. from the middle of May until the end of the summer season.

Fenced area for dogs and agility course

The fenced off area for dogs with its agility course is accessible for all dogs and their owners throughout the season and there is no need to book. Remember to show respect and consideration for other users. If there is already someone there when you arrive, make contact and clearly show that you are entering the area with your dog.

If you are hungry

Bring a packed lunch and find your favourite spot in the park. There are several barbecue areas you can use in Wämöparken. In the petting zoo the barbecue is lit between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer season.

Fun and games

Opposite the cafe, there’s the opportunity to play chess and traditional games. There is also a maze in the park where everyone, big and small, gets to try and find their way out again.

A walk designed for getting lost

Vilsestigen is a path where children can learn what to do if they get lost in the forest. Follow the signs through the woods together.
