Description
The Rose Garden, or "Garden of a Thousand Roses" as it is actually called, was created in connection with Ronneby's 600th anniversary celebrations in 1987. This garden was also designed by Professor Emeritus Sven-Ingvar Andersson.
There are around a thousand roses planted in the Rose Garden. Most of the varieties were very popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Among the varieties are 'Duchesse de Montebello', 'York and Lancaster', 'Sissinghurst Castle' and many more older varieties that are now almost forgotten.
At Naturum you can see the full list of roses. The Naturum is located right next to the Rose Garden.
