Johannishus Gods

The estate has been run by eleven generations of the Wachtmeister family since 1684. The business today comprises forestry, farming, game management and property hire. Johannishus Gods is in Ronneby municipality and its land stretches from the coast and 32 km to the north.

Johannishus Gods includes several nature reserves, including Listerby skärgård and Almö, both of which are easily accessible with paths through attractive meadows with impressive oak trees and stunning sea views. Some of the pastureland forms large enclosed areas where fallow deer graze and keep the land free from trees.

Johannishus Gods sells game meat from animals hunted on our own land. We butcher, mince and pack the meat, making it as locally produced as it could possibly be. Sales are run directly from the estate office in Johannishus. We have our own beehives and so also sell honey where stocks allow. A microbrewery brewing beer from our own organic ingredients is currently in a start-up phase.
