Description
Carl Gustaf's church was completed in 1702 and is named after the founder of the city, King
Karl X Gustaf.
The church began to be
built in the 1680s and was designed by Erik Dahlberg, who also drew plan of the town and the fortress island Kastellet. An octagonal bell tower made of stone
was erected in 1792 northeast of the church.
