Björketorp -a drone film about the Biosphere Reserve's cultural & natural landscape

Experience Blekinge's coast as the birds see it...

One of the oldest and also strangest runestones in Sweden can be found near the farm Björketorp outside Ronneby. The runestone bears an engraved curse, and is one of Sweden's oldest runestones. It probably has a connection to Västra Vång, which is about 7 km to the north. An important Iron Age site of trade, settlement and religious cult has been discovered here relatively recently.

This film is part of a series of drone films that the organisation Blekinge Archipelago produced to increase knowledge about the connection between the natural and cultural environments in the Biosphere Reserve. Through these films, it is possible to experience a number of known and unknown areas along Blekinge's coast - in the way that perhaps a sea eagle sees the coast. In the films, we mix information and images concerning both culture and nature.

These films can be used in several different ways, for example to be inspired to further journeys within the Biosphere area at home in the warmth of the cabin. But also during a hike or kayaking, you can get a wider overview of the area you are in directly via the ARK56 app.
