Vadstena, startplats

Vadstena is a fantastic place, located on the eastern shore of Lake Vättern where you can enjoy proximity to water, Omberg and Tåkern. In the inner city you will find cobbled streets, medieval environments, Vadstena Castle and St. Birgitta's monastery area.

Pilgrims have been coming to Vadstena and the abbey church since the end of the 14th century. Next door to the church is the pilgrim center with a café and accommodation. On the other side is the Sancta Birgitta Monastery Museum.

In Vadstena there are many different types of accommodation, restaurants and a nice atmosphere.
