At the entrance to Kärnskogsmossen nature reserve. there is a large parking lot. People with disabilities may drive all the way to the parking lot at Bergön.
The reserve is located in the northern part of Östergötland and Motala municipalities and borders Örebro County to the north. The flat forest area in which the reserve is located is called Tyleskogen. The marshes in the reserve are mainly open or sparsely wooded with pine or silver birch. The area is one of the largest mires in southern Sweden.
