Description
Vättlefjälls nature reserve is one of the largest nature areas in Gothenburg. It is a hilly landscape located on a large bedrock plateau. The nature is varied with bogs, deciduous and coniferous forests and heather moors. The outdoor area is crossed by both the Bohus Trail and the Vättlefjäll Trail. The many lakes invite you to canoeing and fishing.
Vättlestugan is an outdoor center run by Friluftsfrämjandet and Angered's district administration. Here you can rent canoes and other outdoor equipment, buy maps and fishing licenses. There is an electrically lit exercise trail, shower and sauna (visit http://kanotpoolen.se/ for more info).
