Description
Welcome to Björksta Bronze Age settlement! Björksta Bronze Age settlement consists of six visitor sites where you can see and feel rock carvings. Here, people in the Bronze Age (1800-500 B.C.) carved images and symbols into stone slabs, such as ships, soles of feet, sun wheels, chariots and small pits. At each site you can see different rock carvings and read more about what the different images may have meant to people at the time.
Start your visit here at Björksta church. Here you will find information about the Bronze Age, rock carvings and a toilet.
Other visitor sites are located near residential buildings, please respect the right of public access and privacy.
