Description
Vinbäck Nature Reserve is a coniferous forest close to the town, just 2 kilometers from Vännäs town.
Here you can wander around in old spruce forest draped with hanging lichens. In the wetter drops, the vegetation is lush with, among other things, ostrich fern, torta, ferns and stone berries. There are also many dead trees, which are appreciated by insects, fungi and mosses.
Hike up to Grytberget, where the lichen-covered rocks invite you to take a coffee break with a view of the surrounding landscape. The eastern part of the nature reserve is wetter and more difficult to access, with small bogs, stream valleys and swamp forest.

Directions
Take the bike, bus, snowmobile or car to the village of Vinbäck, 2 km south of Vännäs village. An occasionally closed forest road just north of the village leads to the nature reserve. A visit may therefore need to start with a walk or ski tour of almost a kilometer. Two snowmobile trails pass through the western parts of the nature reserve.
