Large amounts of rain in Dalsland
Due to heavy rain in Dalsland, roads and accessibility have been affected in the area, which may also affect accessibility on the Vänerleden. At present, we have no reports of closed roads, but roads and surfaces on parts of the route between Dals Långed and Åmål may have been affected and deteriorated. Therefore, please be extra careful when cycling in the area and report any obstacles and reduced accessibility on Vänerleden.
Rerouting and incorrect signage between Välsviken and Alster, Karlstad municipality
A diversion of Vänerleden has been made between Välsviken and Alster due to construction and road works at Välsviken that limit accessibility on the previous route, see attached map. Re-signage of the new route has been delayed and will be implemented shortly.
GPX files and maps on the web have the correct route and can be followed until the signage is adjusted.
