Description
Sometimes soft rocks facing the sea and sometimes angular, dense forest and vast shingle fields. Kapplasse on the Hållnäs coast is a rugged and exciting nature reserve. On a calm summer day you can enjoy the sun by the sea, on a stormy fall day the rushing waves show how they shape the rocks and stones.
Standing at the edge of Kapplasse's largest stone square is a powerful experience. In front of you, a giant field of rounded stones and boulders spreads out on a slope that slopes down to the sea. To the north, the sea is open as far as the eye can see. The land elevation at Kapplasse is about 60 cm in 100 years. 2-3,000 years ago, the top of the stone square was at sea level.
From the parking lot there is an 800 m long path through spruce forest to the largest shingle field. The path continues over the pebbles and ends at a viewpoint. From there you can continue out to sea and look for the Kaplasseklippan itself, an almost rauk-shaped rock on the beach. It's easy to walk through the forest, but the last bit across the stone square gets a bit bumpy, as do the rocks along the beach. Wear proper shoes if you want to venture out here.
Also take the opportunity to visit the Sikhjälma harbor, which is right next to Kapplasse!

Gå hela vägen ut till havet. Fantastisk havsvy att spana ut! Man får hoppa lite mellan klipporna.
