Description

Lake Rudbäcken is home to both great crested newts and smooth newts, as well as crucian carp. The lake got its name from the Swedish word for the carp, "ruda", which was introduced to the lake. "Bäck" usually means "creek" in Swedish, but has historically been used in the archipelago to describe still water. Bladderwort, a carnivorous plant, grows in the lake and feeds on zoo plankton.
