Skogstur i Brännskogen och Storskogen

When: Saturday, September 19, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Where: The start of the Gånsta Trail/Illuminated Trail at
Gånstagården, Enköping.

Bus stop: Gånsta, 900 m from the meeting point.

We’ll follow the Upplandsleden trail and
the fitness trail to Storskogen. Anders Lindholm, municipal ecologist, and Vilhelm Kroon,
conservationist with the City of Enköping, will talk about the natural values of the old-growth forest. We’ll
compare different forest environments and discover the biodiversity that depends on older
forests and dead wood. We also hope that fall will bring plenty of rare
conservation-worthy species among the ground fungi.

The tour runs until 1:00 p.m. or
until 3:00 p.m. for those who want to take a more extensive tour. Feel free to bring a snack, or
lunch if you’d like to stay a little longer.
