Description
The Storvikaren nature reserve consists of two sub-areas, with the southern sub-area included in the Natura 2000 network. The habitat types in the reserve include pine-dominated rocky areas, small alpine meadows and spruce forests with a rich herb layer. There is also a large element of deciduous trees, especially aspen.
The southern parts of the area still bear clear traces of having been much more open than today and have to some extent been used as pasture. There has probably also been some meadow farming in the southern part.
There are no outdoor recreation facilities in the reserve, apart from information signs.
