Description

The so-called Långängarna is today about 30 meters above sea level. At the end of the Stone Age, around 4,000 years ago, the valley was probably a sea bay. Stone Age flint weapons and tools have been found in the area - perhaps people came here to fish and hunt?

As you follow the winding gravel path, let your eyes sweep across the meadowland and stop at some of the old oaks on the edge! Cultivation and grazing have made the meadows what they are today. Nyckelviken's stand of old oaks is the highest classified habitat type in the whole of Nacka. Thirteen of the trees are natural monuments.
