Description
In the Jordbodalen gorge, you can follow the winding Gåsebäcken stream for almost two kilometers.
The varied forest walk takes you over a number of wooden bridges and around several ponds. Along the way you can see small waterfalls and dramatic cliffs where the bedrock is clearly visible.
For a natural area completely surrounded by buildings, it is very rich in animals and plants. For example, over 250 species of mushrooms and six species of bats have been found in Jordbodalen. The birdlife is remarkable, with everything from mallards to egrets and terns. All year round you can enjoy the song of the warbler. This is a big reason why the city has now started work on making Jordbodalen a nature reserve.
The popular recreation area features lighted trails, an outdoor gym, a large playground and several fire pits, including one under cover.
