Description
Pärlälven mountain virgin forest is among our last roadless areas of large-scale virgin forest. Here you have vast untouched virgin forests to discover, summits to climb, and panoramas to admire. Between virgin forests, fells and mires there are lakes, watercourses and tarns that invite both angling and canoeing. The area is 1,158 square kilometres in size.

Communications
The nature reserve lies about 43 kilometres west of Jokkmokk and is reached via Kvikkjokksvägen, from Kvikkjokk or Årrenjarka. In the north, the Pärlälven river borders on Laponia World Heritage Site. Both the King’s Trail and the Padjelanta/Badjelánnda Trail run through the area.
