Description
I Bjännmyrens naturreservat är marken fuktig och innehåller mycket kalk. Det gör att många växter trivs ovanligt bra. Bland annat kan du hitta ormbunken finbräken, orkidéerna tvåblad och skogsnycklar. I de våtare rikkärren hittar du en massa brunmossor, men också orkidén blodnyckar. På grund av kalken i marken växer det också ovanliga svampar här, som den lila violspindlingen. Det finns många riktigt gamla tallar, upp till 200 år gamla. Annars växer det mycket lövskog och en hel del gamla döda träd ligger kvar. Där trivs både svampar och insekter.

The reserve is located just north of Lockne, about two miles south of Östersund and about four kilometers southwest of Brunflo.
Regulations
Welcome to Bjännberget. Keep in mind that in the reserve it is not allowed to:
- capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
- picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make a fire, other than with firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
