Description

Berg-Anna's mountain is a varied coniferous forest area that consists of steep slopes with abundant dead wood, drier areas with old pines and moist areas where most spruce grows. At the bottom a nice stream flows through the area. Here you can also find the small, insignificant orchid knee. In the forest a lot of blueberry rice grows, with hints of heather and lingonberries. Along the stream there are areas with abundant amounts of lumber and fern plants.

The forest consists mainly of an older spruce and coniferous forest and smaller areas with pine. Where the slope is as burning as possible there are large amounts of dead wood. The wood consists of dead trees in many different dimensions and different stages of degradation. It favors rare wood-borne fungi and mosses in the area, such as patchwork, wrinkle skin, violet mussel and woodpecker moss.

Most of the trees are between 100 and 200 years old, but there are occasional older and coarse pines that approach 300 years. Especially in the southwestern part, at the top of the reserve, there are a number of very large and old pines.

Directions

Berg-Annas berg is located in the forests west of the road between Vintjärn and Svartnäs. The area is fairly easily accessible, as Finnkölsvägen passes just north of the nature reserve. Where Finnkölsvägen turns and heads north, north of the nature reserve, there is a turning area. Here you can park and easily enter the area. There are no marked trails, so you have to find your way on your own.
