Spiritual reflection

In the face of the deep mystery of life, existence, death, love and God, our language ends and our words cease. The Pearl of Silence is found in six places in the garland of salvation. They tell us that silence, which many feel is in short supply in our time, is a gift I can give myself. I can stop for a while, let my breath flow calmly through my body. In the silence, I can hear my own thoughts more easily and perhaps sense in my heart a secret guest, God himself.
