Where: Dalkarlskärret, Hammarskog Nature Reserve
Bus stop: Vreta västra, 1 km from Dalkarlskärret.
Batlife Sweden, in collaboration
with Uppsala Natur-
skola and Biotopia, is celebrating International Bat Night at Dalkarlskärret. Come
and learn more about these exciting and somewhat mysterious nocturnal creatures that
live among us, but aren’t always easy to spot.
Throughout the afternoon and evening,
we’ll offer a number of bat-related activities—for children led
by Anna Lagerqvist from Biotopia, and for adults with the help of BatLife Sweden.
The activities are free of charge, except for
bat house building, where you pay the cost price for the kit.
When evening falls and
the bats begin to fly, we’ll hold bat-watching tours for children and adults,
where, with the help of detectors, we can listen to the bats flying around
Dalkarlskärret (and perhaps even spot them).
More information and times for
the tours will be posted soon at biotopia.nu/kalender
Registration: No
Organizer: Batlife Sweden and Uppsala Naturskola
