Directions

On foot: Roslagsleden passes the reserve. You can also walk here on Olhamraleden from Vallentuna station (start at Pressbyrån), about 4 kilometers.

By bus: Take the Roslagsbanan to Vallentuna and from there bus towards Kårsta. Get off at Örsta, 200 meters from the reserve.

By car: Half an hour from Stockholm. Take the E18 from Stockholm towards Norrtälje. Take the exit towards Åkersberga and drive straight ahead in the roundabout towards Gillinge and Angarn. After 4.5 km you will pass Angarn church. Turn left at the sign "Angarnssjöängens naturreservat" after 200 meters to get to the entrance point Örsta. Parking lots are also available at Skesta hage and Olhamra, see map.

Regulations

To protect the Angarnssjöängens nature reserve, there are rules you must follow. It is forbidden to:

  1. destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, hacking, blasting, grating, digging, painting or similar
  2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or otherwise damage vegetation by digging up plants such as rice, herbs, mosses or lichens or removing woody fungi
  3. disturbing wildlife (for example, by climbing nest trees, trapping or killing mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians)
  4. trapping and collecting invertebrates
  5. bringing an unleashed dog
  6. make fires other than in designated places
  7. put up a board, poster, poster, sign or make an inscription
  8. ride a bicycle off-road
  9. drive a motorboat in the lake bed
  10. camping outside the designated area. Within the designated area, camping is only allowed for two consecutive days
  11. during the period April 1 - September 30, enter or visit the bird protection area marked on the decision map, Appendix 1 of the decision
  12. ride on trails marked on the decision map, Appendix 1 of the decision.
