Description
The tour takes you up to a wonderful view from Spetalsberget. It is named after the leper hospital that existed in the area during the Middle Ages. St. Jörgens hospital was probably located in the meadow behind the current Lödöse Museum. When enjoying your view from Spetalsberget, take time to breathe in all the views. There are several overlooks over the river and one where you have a cool view of Lödöse. Lödöse was Sweden's first port town to the west and Gothenburg's predecessor. Lödöse Museum's exhibitions show the history of this important medieval town in an exemplary way.
