Description
The Torvsjö mills are one of northern Europe's still functioning water-powered plants. The mill was built and operated by Torvsjö residents in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Through ingenious inventions, the farmers of Torvsjö managed to utilize the water in the Skarpsjö stream to help in their agricultural work. Over the years, the villagers have, with great craftsmanship, built six grinding mills, a threshing floor, a saw and chip planer and a small power plant - all powered by water.
At the mills there is a café that is open July-August and offers guided tours by reservation. Read more on Torvsjö Kvarnas Facebook page.

Helt klart värt ett besök. Bra fika på cafét och spännande historia hur vatten användes till både det ena och det andra. Allt inom korta gångavstånd.
