Description
The Brattby Natura 2000 site contains grazed meadows that are flooded during the spring flood of the Ume River. The lowlands along the northern rivers were traditionally managed by haymaking or grazing, and were once valuable forage areas thanks to the floods providing a valuable supply of nutrient-rich silt.
The rare plant willowherb also grows here.
