Along Björkforsleden, excavation work is underway during the period fall 2024- early summer 2025. The trail will therefore be partly closed and not hiking-friendly. Work is also underway to extend the trail out to Rönäsvägen. This is expected to be completed by summer 2025.

Description

Längs natursköna Umeälven med start vid vägen mot flygplatsen i Hemavan finns en bred grusad gång- och cykelväg till grillplatsen som ligger vid älven i höjd med Hemavan Gondol. För att få en rundtur kan man gå gångvägen tillbaka genom byn.

Björkforsleden fortsätter från grillplatsen till Rönäsvägen, där bilvägen går över Umeälven. Den delen är inte spångad och grusad ännu men fullt gångbar.
