Putting up birdhouses in your
garden and the surrounding area is a fun way to help birds looking for a home
and also to watch them up close. Together with birdhouse veteran
Lasse Fröjdlund, who has been building and surveying birdhouses in and
around Uppsala for many years, we’ll check out some of the birdhouses installed around the Nature School.
What does the inside of the box look like after
the birds have finished nesting and moved out? How can you tell which bird has lived
there? And what should you consider if you want to put up birdhouses—what should they look like, when
and where should they be placed?
Now you have the chance to gain both
inspiration and knowledge so you can contribute to nature conservation yourself! Anyone who
wants to can build a birdhouse to take home. If it’s cold or rainy, we’ll build
the birdhouses in our spacious garage.
Cost: Cost price for the birdhouse kit
