A shallow, child-friendly beach invites you for fresh dip in clear mountain water.
Many hikers stay several nights in Abiskojaure and do day tours. Alpine tours to Kartinvare Peak and an outing to Råvvetievvakakåtorna, located a few hours away, are popular tours. Close to the cabin is Bunkerhöjden, a fortification from the days of the Swedish military. The place was included in the system to defend the Malmbanan railway line. STF Abiskojaure is located about 14 km south of Abisko and is the first cabin on the Abisko – Nikkaluokta section of the Kungsleden trail.
Abisko is a suitable starting point for a hike or ski trip to Abiskojaure.
