Lake Lidhemsjön

Lake Lidhemssjön is the birding location that has the most species in the municipality. There are exciting birdwatching experiences in store, all year round. Early spring begins with geese, whooper swans and white-tailed eagles taking a break during their migration. Hooting great bitterns and hobbies on the hunt are what you can see in the summer. In late summer, the muddy backs of the lake are visited by terns and various kinds of sandpipers stopping by. Autumn belongs to ducks, geese and birds of prey. Everything is best observed from the bird tower in the northwest section, near Sjölyckorna.
