Description
The deciduous mixed forest around the white water of the lochs is like an untouched oasis in an otherwise heavily forested area. Old deciduous trees and plenty of dead wood create a habitat for lichens, wood fungi, woodpeckers and other birds.

Directions
Follow road E45 north from Östersund towards Lit. Turn right in Hökbäck, just before Indalsälven. Pass Fjäl and continue along the river and the reserve is after a few kilometers on the right side of the road. There is no real path into the reserve.
Regulations
Welcome to Spåmansloken. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of various kinds, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately damaging or disturbing wildlife,
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make a fire, other than with firewood brought in.
Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is forbidden to:
- carry out scientific studies involving the collection of species or having any other impact on the natural environment.
