Description
The forest in Aspsjökullen is largely undisturbed across large areas and so is referred to as natural forest. There are also areas that are completely undisturbed, and these are known as virgin forest.
On the eastern slope of the mountain and in the northern part of the reserve, there are small areas containing pines and spruces that are several hundreds of years old.
Two brooks, Aspsjöbäcken and Sågbäcken, run through the area. There are also several lakes and mires.
