When: Saturday, September 12, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
(drop-in)
Where: Uppsala Nature School in Hammarskog
Bus stop: Hammarskog crossroads, 800 m away.
We’re hosting woodcarving and woodworking activities
for all ages and will be set up on the patio behind Uppsala Nature School in
the Hammarskog Nature Reserve. Carve a butter knife, a magic wand, a shrink-wrap jar, a hook—or
something completely different! We can offer tips and ideas if you’d like, but you’re also welcome to work
on something entirely of your own design.
Everyone is welcome and can carve at
their own level. We have fresh wood and knives, including child-friendly ones. Of course, you’re welcome to
bring your own knife if you have one.
If you’re new to Swedish nature,
we’re happy to provide instructions in simple Swedish. We can also provide instructions in
English.
There’s also a campfire on site, so
you can grill a hot dog or something else you bring along. We’ll provide
ketchup, mustard, hot drinks, and fruit juice. A warm welcome to you all!
Registration: No
Organizer: Uppsala Nature School and the Uppland Foundation
