Kvällsvandring i Smedbyskogen

Join us for an evening walk in Smedbyskogen with Anna-Cari Lindh, an educator specializing in historic farms, and Henrik de Joussineau, the city’s head gardener. During the walk, you’ll learn more about the biological cultural heritage associated with the meadow at the Ekebo burial ground, where we’ll mow and rake hay. We’ll then continue to the Viking farm Gunnes Gård—an open-air museum in Upplands Väsby—where you’ll learn more about the environment and life on a farm during the Late Iron Age—the period we commonly refer to as the Viking Age. We’ll conclude the hike with an evening snack at the Smedbyskogen picnic area next to Gunnes Gård. Please bring your own food and drinks.

The evening hike is organized in collaboration with the Local History Association and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.
