Description
Say hello to the barn owl in the oak on Skutudden. Continue past the redoubts at Skogsö cemetery and on the path into the forest. You pass the monument commemorating the Battle of Stäket in 1719. Take the stairs down to the water's edge and walk on to Boo Old Cemetery. Knights, soldiers and the occasional pirate rest here, and soon you can see the boats passing the narrow Knapens hål. Take the Saltsjöbanan, to Igelboda, Fisksätra or Neglinge station. From Neglinge station it is about 1 km walk to the nature reserve. Skogsö is a 20-minute drive from Stockholm city center. Take road 222, turn off towards Saltsjöbaden and continue towards Neglinge.
