It doesn’t take long to get out into the countryside around Ljungby. In just a few minutes, you can leave the city center behind and reach bike paths, hiking trails, and places where stories have left their mark on the landscape.
There are excursions here that work in different ways. Some take less than an hour and require no planning. Others extend further out—through villages, along old railroad embankments, and on toward lakes and open farmland.
What they all have in common is that there’s plenty to see along the way. You’ll pass legendary sites, churches, and small communities, and there’s often an opportunity to stop for a swim, a coffee break, or a rest. Several tours follow the same routes, but the experience changes depending on how you choose to do them.
The map lists the tours as short excursions, half-day trips, full-day trips, and longer loops. There you can see how they connect and choose the one that suits your day.
